Golf is widely played in
India. The country has wide diversity of courses -there are courses in the
hills, in the plains, in metropolitan cities, in small towns, in beach
Resorts, by lakes, by forests, surrounded by tea estate and in old British
cantonments. The environment of each course is unique in terms of its
culture and history. Playing golf In India will enable you to experience the
country in a unique manner.
India was the first country outside of Great Britain to take up the game of
golf. The Royal Calcutta Golf Club, established in 1829, is the oldest golf
club in India, and the first outside Great Britain. With the growing
influence of the British in India, the eighteenth century saw a mushrooming
of new golf clubs in India. Over the period of time many new courses have
been developed in the country. Most of the courses are well connected by
road, rail, and air, and have excellent accommodation facilities.
Day 1: Arrive Delhi

Day 2: Delhi
In the morning, golf at Delhi Golf Club - Established in 1931, Delhi Golf
Club is the oldest club in the city. It is an 18-hole par 72 championship
size golf course and is perhaps the only one in the world that is dotted
with the monuments having great historic value. There are also lots of
species of birds and the course has been planted with a number of varieties
of trees making it a lush paradise. Delhi Golf Club is more than just a
place to golf and has all the facilities needed to provide one with a
relaxing and enjoyable experience such as bar & catering, swimming pool,
pub and a health club. The Delhi Golf club is also home to many professional
tournaments.
In the afternoon, half day sightseeing of Old & New Delhi - Visiting
Jama Masjid and Qutab Minar. Drive past Red Fort, the Secretarial Buildings,
Parliament House, President House and the India Gate.
Day 3: Delhi - Jaypee Greens - Agra
In the morning leave for Jaypee Greens Resort on the outskirts of Delhi to
play a game of Golf. - Jaypee Greens is a Greg Norman designed 18-Hole Golf
Resort situated in Greater Noida. The course is a championship course and
features eighteen holes and boasts of being India's longest championship
course at 7,343 yards. It has as many as 88 bunkers and 14 water bodies that
pose a welcome challenge to golfers. It also has Club House and Bar, a
Lounge and Restaurant.
Later leave by surface for Agra (203 Km/ approx. 5 hrs drive). Overnight at
Hotel in Agra.
Day 4: Agra - Jaipur (221 Kms/ approx. 5 ½ hrs)
Agra is famous for being home to the Taj Mahal - one of the Seven Wonders of
the world. The architectural beauty of the mausoleums, the fort and the
palaces is a clear reminder of the legendary Mughal empire that flourished
here. While its significance as a political center ended with the transfer
of the capital to Delhi by Shah Jahan, its architectural wealth has secured
its place on the international tourism map. Visit Taj Mahal - one of the
Seven Wonders of the World, built by Shah Jahan in the memory of Mumtaz
Mahal (Shah Jahan's second Wife).
Visit Agra Fort - Built by the famed Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565 AD.
In the afternoon, depart for Jaipur enroute visit the deserted city of
Fatehpur Sikri - Built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years
due to scarcity of water. Overnight at Hotel in Jaipur.
Day 5: Jaipur
Morning round of Golf at Rambagh Palace Polo & Golf Club - The Rambagh
Golf Club is part of the Rambagh Palace Hotel - a luxury Hotel which was
earlier the residence of the former maharaja. This eighteen hole course
overlooks the picturesque Moti Doongri Palace and the historical Nahargarh
Fort. The fairway passes through the Rambagh polo grounds which have seen
some of the finest polo matches in the time of the late Sawai Man Singh.
These days there are more golfers to be seen on the ground where the royals
once moved on their chargers.
Afternoon half day city sightseeing tour of Jaipur - City tour of Jaipur,
known as the 'Pink city'- Visit the Maharaja's palace and museum, Maharaja
Jai Singh's observatory, drive past the 'Hawa Mahal' or the palace of winds.
Day 6: Jaipur - Delhi (258 Kms/ approx. 6 hrs)
Leave by surface for Delhi enroute visiting Amber Fort. The fort was the
ancient capital of the State. Visit the Jagmandir or the hall of victory
glittering with mirrors. Enjoy an Elephant ride to the Fort. On arrival
Delhi transfer to Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 7: Delhi
Early morning transfer to airport on time to connect to flight for onward
destination.
